Epson WorkForce DS-1630 Scanner

Epson WorkForce DS-1630 is a compact flatbed scanner for small workgroups with a duplex automatic document feeder for continuous scanning. The Epson WorkForce DS-1630 is an A4 flatbed scanner with an automatic document feeder. This scanner is suitable for individual use as a desktop solution or for use in small workgroups due to the optional network interface connectivity. The Epson WorkForce DS-1630 can handle a workload of up to 1,500 sheets per day at a scanning speed of 25 pages per minute for both color and black-and-white A4 documents. In duplex mode, the speed is 10 images/min. The capacity of the automatic document feeder is 50 sheets, which is quite high for this class of devices. The Epson WorkForce DS-1630 allows for scanning long documents up to 3048 mm. The minimum document size for scanning with the automatic feeder is 89 × 127 mm. Thanks to the presence of an ultrasonic sensor, sheets do not stick together during continuous scanning. Additionally, the use of an LED light source prevents document heating during scanning from the flatbed, which is very useful when working with archival and old documents. Also, due to Ready Scan LED technology, the Epson WorkForce DS-1630 provides instant readiness for operation immediately after the device is turned on and meets the Energy Star standard. The Epson WorkForce DS-1630 supports the modern USB 3.0 connection interface. Scanner management over the network is done using an optional network interface unit. With it, the scanner can be connected to an Ethernet network and perform scanning to email, FTP server, SharePoint, and network folders. The scanner becomes accessible from multiple computers in the workgroup. There is also the possibility of scanning to cloud storage services such as Evernote, Google Drive, SugarSync, and others.
